Background:The nickel has been recognized that is the latent irritant metal, it may cause the dermatitis of the human who is the allergy. If the nickel contacts the skin, it can stimulate the body immune response and cause rash, sometimes possibly causes the more serious immune response. If people has absorbed the soluble nickel salt, will have the vomiting, disgusting, the diarrhea and so on. European Union, US, Japan etc have made the stipulation to the nickel element content and the release quantity of the human body skin long-term contact's product like pierced the ear or bodily other spot with the nickel product. The conventional test method is to deliver the sample to the laboratory for test, the time is long, the expense is high, the process is complex, has the destruction to the sample, the quantity is small, it can only test the samples, according to the above situations, we developed the nickel fast testing reagent cooperated with ITS CHEMICAL, INC. at 2006, it can carry on the fast screening test to the nickel ion.
Principle:Use a specific high-sensitivity reagents, it can combines with nickel ion. This chemical reaction will change the colour.
Purpose:Used in the qualitative test of the material surface nickel release. For example: simulation jewelry, zipper, belt fastener, button ,glasses, watches and so on.

Operation:Clean the area of any dust or dirt ( For the product with oil injection on the surface, the oil injection layer shall be burnished out firstly using fine sandpaper.) Then drop a glob of nickel fast testing reagent on the swab, and vigorously rub about 30 seconds on the surface of testing material. If the swab shows pink or pale pink color and will not fade  , it indicates that nickel present in the surface of the material and nickel release certainly exceed the standard level (the darker color, the higher nickel release); if the swab will not turn color, then it indicates that the nickel release of the surface of the material is lower or inexistent. Because the nickel quantity of the surface of the material is not necessarily even, therefore we suggest to testing different spots of the material surface, more than 5 spots will be better.
Notes:
1.Iron ions will bring interference, but the red color created by iron ions will fade gradually after several minutes. This is a false positive result.
2.This product has slight pungent and corrosive, please avoid inhalation in using, if contacts the skin or the eye, rinse at once by water.
3.If needs the nickel content and the nickel release quantity accurate data, must deliver to the specialized laboratory for examination.
